8/29/11 - Going Back to Work after the Maternity Leave

Mommy was back to work today after 20 weeks of maternity leave. 

I fed Julian at 6:30am. He was happy and smiling same as every morning.

He didn't know I would leave him after that...

I felt really guilty.......Sorry Juju~!!。・°°・(＞_＜)・°°・。

It was probably harder for me than him.

This picture was taken at front door right before I was leaving 

to work at 7:00am.

Daddy took Julian to Daycare before he went to work.

 

5ヶ月間の産休も終わり、今日から仕事復帰。

６時半に授乳。ジュジュはいつも通り、ご機嫌でニコニコ笑っています。

多分マミーの方が辛いのかも。

 まだ、ジュジュはマミーがこれから毎日お仕事だって分からないんものねぇ。

ごめんよ〜ジュジュ〜。・°°・(＞_＜)・°°・。

 ７時に家をでる直前に玄関口で写真撮影。

今日から、ダディーがお仕事の前に保育園に送ってくれるからねぇ。

Julian was a good boy and had a good time at daycare that

his teacher told me when I picked up him at daycare after work :)

  ジュリアンは、とってもお利口さんで、楽しく1日過ごしましたよと

お迎えに行ったときに保育園の先生が教えてくれました。

8/28/11 - Julian likes Rice Cereal

Julian is 4month & 4days old. 

He had his Okuizome ceremony, 

and had rice sereal for the first time yesterday.

Today he tried the rice cereal again for lunch,

and he enjoyed the meal so much!!

ジュリアンは、生後４ヶ月と４日となりました。昨日は、お食い初めで、初めてライスシリアルをチョッピリ食べました。今日は、ランチにもう一度 ライスシリアルに挑戦！本当にびっくりするほど、モリモリ食べたよ！

マミーは、機能的で超可愛いと、とってもご満悦

Although, Julian's head is still little heavy to sit straight,

 Julian likes to sit at table in high-chair with daddy & mommy at dinner.

He doesn't cry for mommy anymore while she is having a dinner.

まだ頭が重くてまっすぐすわれないけれど、

ダディーとマミーと並んですわれるので、

ジュリアンはハイチェアーがとってもお気に入り。

もう、マミー達が夕食を食べてるときに泣かないよ！

8/27/11 - お食い初め Okuizome

"Okuizome" is a Japanese tradition that parents carry out on the 100th or 120th day after baby's birth. On this day special meal is prepared to cerebrate the baby's first eating of solid food. Julian can not actually eat the food yet, but by performing the ritual, we wish our child will always have good food in abundance and will never starve himself through out his life. Our family and friends got together for cerebrate Julian's Okuizome today!
お食い初めは、新生児の生後100日目（または110日目、120日目）に「一生涯、食べることに困らないように」との願いを込めて食事をする真似をさせる儀式です。

Daddy & Julian wore kimono for Okuizome ceremony! 

Julian's great grandma (mommy's grandma) made 
daddy's kimono by hand sewing.

Daddy's obi (belt for kimono) was Julian's grandpa's (mommy's dad).

How handsome they are in kimono!
ダディーとジュリアンはお食い初めのために着物を来てゲストをお出迎え。
ダディーの着物はジュリアンのひいおばあちゃんの手作り、帯はジュリアンのおじいちゃんからのお下がりです。２人とも着物がとってもお似合いです！

Mommy tried her best to prepare the Japanese special meal for today!


Grilled Red-Snapper (鯛の尾頭付き), Handroll Sushi (手巻き寿司）with white tuna（白鮪), salmon (鮭), spicy tuna（鮪のスパイシーソース和え), imitation crab salad (蟹かまサラダ), ormlett (錦糸卵), Spam (スパム), fish eggs (トビコ), cucumber & octopus salad (たこの酢の物)、vegetables & chicken (お煮染め), clam soup (蛤のお吸い物), Redbean rice (お赤飯),
sour plum (梅干し）.....

Julian opened his mouth, and did really good job
to pretend eating Okuizome meal.

Julian really enjoyed rice cereal. 

He couldn't wait for mommy's trying to feed him by spoon. 

He grabbed the cap and tried to eat it.

ジュジュは超〜お気に入りで、スプーンでの一口ずつが待ちきれず、

自分でカップをつかんでかぶりつきです！

8/26/11 - Happy Julian's Half Roll-Over

Julian is 4 month and 3 days old, and almost able to do roll-over.......

He wakes up with big smile and does half roll over. So cute :)

ジュリアンは、生まれて４ヶ月と３日目です。
もうちょっとでごろんと一回転寝返りが出来そうなんだけど.....

にっこり笑って、朝のお目覚め。コロコロって、横向きにはなれるよ。
